Abstract

A mathematical model of automobile power performance was established. Based on the power performance mathematics models, the parameter sensitivity formulae of power performance were derived and the computer simulation program of automobile power performance was compiled. The simulator calculated the power performance of a EQ140 type of automobile. The simulation result coincides with that was obtained from the real automobile. Simulation result of no-load maximum speed is 91 km/h and use parameter of EQ140 no-load maximum speed is 90 km/h. Error of maximum speed is 1.1%. Simulation result of full-load maximum speed is 72 km/h and use parameter of EQ140 full-load maximum speed is from 70 km/h to 75 km/h. Parameter sensitivity was analyzed. Automobile power performance was influenced by a variety of parameters and mechanical efficiency and total quality of automobile are obvious ones. The rolling resistance coefficient, air resistance coefficient and frontal area have less influence.
