Abstract
The major technical characteristics between geographic information system and management information system are studied, and information system development ideas in merging MIS and GIS are proposed, taking advantage of each other's advantages in developing information systems, following client's requirements as the theme and modern management ideas as the guideline. A visual communication network MIS is designed by taking digitized specific charts as carriers. The practicability and developmental inevitability are verified in the development of communication network MIS by merging MIS and GIS. The MIS has its prospects in the fields of communication.
