Abstract

The acousto-optic modulator design for generating linear chirp waveform modulation of laser frequency in the coherent ladar system is discussed. Two identified Bragg cells are cascading arranged to compensate the beam steering. A total sweeping bandwidth of 100 MHz is achieved, and reasonable results are obtained from laser ranging simulation experiment by using the two Bragg cells.
