Abstract

The studies of the nitrolysis of tetraacetydiformylhexaazaisowurtzitane in concentrated nitric acid and complex acid of nitric and sulfid acid were separately made. The main products of nitrolysis of TADF in the two medium systems are both hexanitrahexaazaisowurtzitane. By use of column chromato-graphy methods, two different nitration by-products obtained from the two medium systems were isolated, the former is monoacetylpentanitrohexaazaisowurtzitane and the latter is mono-formylpentanitrohexaazaisowurtzitane. It is shown that reaction mechanisms of nitrolysis of TADF in concentrated nitric acid and complex acid of nitric and sulfid acid are different.
