Abstract

We proposed a new broadband beamforming method of linear frequency modulation (LFM) signal based on fractional Fourier transform (FRFT). The broadband signal received on the array sensors is partitioned to some sub-band by the FRFT, and then beamforming of each sub-band is adapted by the rule of Linearly Constrained Minimum Variance. The conventional broadband beamforming in frequency domain is a special case of the proposed method. The simulations verified that the new method was better than the conventional method in frequency domain.
