Bit and power allocation algorithm of BER minimization in OFDM frame

Abstract

To minimize average bit rate error(BER) per orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) frame under the constraint of total transmission power and data rate in time-varying channel, iterative algorithm of bit and power allocation aiming at minimum total virtual power(MTVP) in OFDM symbol was designed, and a method of power allocation among OFDM symbols based on MTVP was proposed. Simulation results show that the proposed bi t and power allocation method improves the BER performance as well as calculation speed.
