abstract = "This paper presents a broadband high-gain dipole antenna operating in X-band. The antenna consists of a printed dipole antenna and a resonant cavity formed by a broadband Electromagnetic Band-Gap structure and a metal ground. It is worth noting that the EBG structure consists of multilayer dielectric unprinted slabs with different dielectric constant, thickness and interlayer spacing. Moreover the antenna obtains high-gain performance maintaining the impedance bandwidth.
