Abstract

To improve PSNR performance of alternating-projection demosaicing algorithm, the estimated initialization of alternating-projection algorithm that based on pre-estimating the minimum square error is meliorated in this paper. The improved algorithm is compared with other typical demosaicing approaches by testing the twenty-four Kodak set (6) images. The PSNR of the improved algorithm is better than other typical methods, and the interpolated artifact is found to be less. The experimental results prove that the improved algorithm is with best PSNR and the least interpolated artifact. The performance of alternatingprojection algorithm can be improved by mending the initialization.
