Adaptive reverse driving system based on hydraulic transformer

Abstract

In order to make full use of the energy saving ability of hydraulic common pressure rail system and enable the driving system have four-quadrant operating characteristics, an adaptive reverse driving system based on hydraulic transformer is presented. By controlling the hydraulically operated check valve with pressure cross feedback, the driving system can realize adaptive reversion by changing the control angle of the hydraulic transformer. The system model is built and the operating characteristics are analyzed. The results indicate that the system response is fast when the system switches from driving mode to braking mode, the speed of hydraulic transformer decreases sharply. After the braking pressure built up, the hydraulic transformer operates in the steady condition and the speed decreases gradually. Under the braking condition, the system can realize regenerative braking and save part of the kinetic energy. The energy is stored in the hydraulic accumulator.
