abstract = "This paper presents a novel single-layer dual-band filtenna with high-selectivity and controllable radiation nulls. The filtenna consists of a modified triangular patch and a substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) cavity with triangular slot and Ushaped slot etched on the top and bottom plane, respectively, the modified patch with a L-shaped slot is embedded in the triangular slot. Hybrid structure generates six resonant modes within two passbands and four controllable radiation nulls at the upper and lower edges of the two passbands. Some of the SIW shorting pins are removed to reduce the operating frequency. The simulated impedance bandwidth covers from 3.5 GHz to 3.77 GHz and 5.24 GHz to 5.61 GHz with high frequency selectivity and good out-of -band suppression level.",
