Abstract

This study proposes a moving targets detection and parameter estimation technique based on short-time fractional Fourier transform (STFRFT) for airborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR). It is able to increase the signal-to-clutter ratio (SCR) and get the Doppler center frequency and Doppler frequency rate for moving targets even they are lying in the same line in the time-frequency plane. At the end, a comparison between the new method and fractional Fourier transform method is provided to illustrate the advantages.
