Abstract

To provide a kind of effective computation method for designing nonaxisymmetrical shaped charge to realize 3-D numerical simulation of jet penetrate target, the Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian ( ALE) method in LS-DYNA was used. The 3-D numerical simulation of the jet cut target was successfully realized, the calculated results agree with the experiment results very well. Through the 3-D numerical simulation of jet penetrate target, it was proved that the ALE method incorporated the advantages of Lagrangian and Eulerian methods, so it became a very efficient method for fluid-structure interaction problem such as the interaction of shaped charge and targets.
