Abstract

A new method for 2D direction of arrival (DOA) of linear frequency modulation (LFM) sources was proposed by fractional Fourier transform (FRFT) and estimating signal parameters via rotational invariance technique (ESPRIT) algorithms. A new array model in FRFT domain was constructed based on the fact that the LFM signal has the energy-concentrated performance in the FRFT domain, and the 2D DOA estimation of multiple LFM sources was realized by ESPRIT algorithm. Simulation results verify the correctness and efficiency of the new algorithm.
