2-D DOA estimation of LFM signals based on fractional Fourier transform

Abstract

A new method to estimate 2-D DOA of multiple LFM signals is proposed. Based on a fact that the LFM signal has the energy-concentrated performance in the fractional Fourier transform domain (FRFD), a novel array data model in FRFD is constructed, MUSIC algorithm is then applied on correlation matrix in FRFD to obtain the 2-D DOA estimation of multiple LFM sources. The simulation results verified the efficiency of the new method.
