To construct new stem cells and mature functional cells. At the same time, Dr. Xiao Zhenyu pays close attention to the ethical, legal and national security issues in the frontier fields of stem cell and regenerative medicine, looks forward to the ethical challenges, social risks and rule conflicts brought by scientific development, and proposes a risk governance framework, with a view to promoting the good development of science and technology.
The details include:
1) Developing high-throughput single-cell multiomics, proteomics and modified omics analysis techniques;
2) To study the fate and function of human embryonic stem cells in vitro and in vivo and their ability to induce differentiation;
3) To analyze the signaling pathways and molecular mechanisms that regulate the fate of key intra - and extra-embryonic tissues in early embryonic development;
4) To establish the whole gestation time map of the differentiation of primate placenta from trophoectoderm to multiple trophoblast cell lineages;
5) To reveal the post-translational modification, targeted regulation and function of key proteins in the process of blood diseases and tumorigenesis.
6) Targeting DNA damage repair systems to improve the efficiency and accuracy of gene editing;
7) Elucidate the regulatory mechanisms of self-renewal and differentiation of trophoblast stem cells into syncytial trophoblast cells;
