Personal profile

Ye Yusheng, associate professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Materials, Beijing Institute of Technology, will be selected as the youth project of the national "Overseas High-level Talent Introduction Program" in 2022. From 2018 to 2023, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Stanford University in the United States, and many of his research results were reported by BBC News, MIT Technology Review, Science News, Science Daily, and U.S. Department of Energy News.
He won the first prize of the provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and was selected as the graduate representative of the spring graduation ceremony of Beijing Institute of Technology in 2018. He has won many awards such as Excellent doctoral dissertation of China Composite Materials Society, Outstanding Doctoral graduates of Beijing, First Prize of Innovation Scholarship, Second prize of Entrepreneurship Scholarship, Xu Teli Scholarship, Outstanding Dissertation of graduate students of Beijing Institute of Technology, National Scholarship of Graduate Students, Outstanding Academic Achievement Award and so on. As a technical backbone to participate in the United States Department of Energy projects, the national 973 program, the National key research and development program, the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission major science and technology projects, the National Natural Science Foundation and other projects.
As of May 2023, he has participated in more than 70 academic papers published in top journals such as Nature and Science, with a total of more than 5,000 citations, H-factor 42 (Google Scholar). Published more than 10 SCI papers as the first author or corresponding author. Including Nature Energy, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, Advanced Energy Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, Nano Letters, Energy Storage Materials, The Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters, Composites Science and Technology, Small, etc. 11 authorized invention patents, including 3 authorized patents in the United States. Guest editor of Energies, an international journal, Roles including Nano Letters, ACS Nano, Small, Nano Research, Energy Storage Materials, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Journal of Energy Chemistry, Materials Today Energy, Journal of Alloys Compounds, Independent reviewer for more than 10 top journals such as Chinese Chemical Letters.

Research Interests

The research content includes high-power/fast-charging lithium (ion) batteries, new electrochemical energy storage batteries (lithium-ion batteries/sodium-ion batteries/water batteries), key materials and key technologies of high-energy-specific lithium-sulfur batteries, smart batteries, all-solid-state batteries (solid electrolytes), etc. During the post-doctoral period, I assisted my supervisor to guide a number of doctoral students in a number of cross-field research work, including self-healing solid electrolyte, negative electrode prelithium, unsteady supercooled fluid, etc.
