Hu Yao, female, doctor, professor, doctoral supervisor, selected as Beijing University Young talents. He has been engaged in photoelectric precision measurement and new imaging technology research for a long time, and his current research focuses on aspherical surface and free-form surface interferometry technology, metasurface design and microstructure testing technology, speckle testing technology, polarized sky light navigation technology, etc.

He presided over 6 national and provincial vertical projects, 5 school-enterprise joint horizontal projects, and his research results won 1 first prize of technological invention in Jilin Province, 1 second prize of technological invention in Ministry of Education, 1 third prize of GF Technological Invention Award, 1 first prize of Instrumentation Society Technological Invention Award, and 1 second prize of Mechanical industry Technological Invention Award. He has published 52 SCI papers in academic journals at home and abroad, authorized 47 national invention patents, and participated in the compilation of 1 monograph.
Participated in 1 national first-class undergraduate course, 1 school-level quality course, led to win 1 school-level teaching achievement award, participated in the compilation of 3 textbooks, and published 12 teaching papers. Assisted and supervised 5 graduate doctoral students and 12 graduate master students.
He is also a member of the optomechanical Technology and System Integration Branch of the Chinese Society of Instrumentation, a member of the photoelectric Technology Professional committee of the Chinese Optical Society, and a member of the smart sensor professional committee of the Metrology Association. 1. Aspherical surface and free-form surface interferometry technology: To meet the high-precision manufacturing requirements of aspherical surface and free-form surface optical components in astronomy, remote sensing, semiconductor and other industries, research universal, anti-vibration transient, multi-parameter and simultaneous measurement interferometry technology, involving optical system design and modeling, error analysis and compensation, multi-objective optimization, deep learning data processing and other key technologies;
2. Metasurface design and microstructure testing technology: To study the design methods of metasurface and the testing technologies of microstructures such as metasurface and microlens array for applications such as optical components with high damage threshold and polarization multiplexing imaging/measurement, involving key technologies such as optical system design, modeling and simulation, and microscopic computational imaging;
3. Speckle testing technology: Aiming at the application requirements of composite deformation and defect detection, rough or mirror sample three-dimensional morphology detection, etc., the paper studies a variety of speckle based information carrier testing technologies, such as shear speckle interferometry, binocular speckle, speckle correlation, involving key technologies such as image processing, three-dimensional point cloud analysis, and deep learning target recognition;
4. Polarized skylight navigation technology: Facing the needs of bionic navigation, the polarization characteristics of atmospheric scattered light, detection methods and the extraction technology of skylight polarization information are studied, involving key technologies such as image processing, imaging system calibration and modeling, and deep learning image restoration.
