In the face of the urgent need of special protection for aerospace, ships and land-based weapon platforms, the research work of special functional ceramic materials has been carried out for a long time, including material design, synthesis and performance characterization control. By using advanced special processing technology such as plasma spraying, functional coatings are prepared on the surface of metals, ceramics and composite materials, the formation mechanism of coating characteristics is deeply discussed, and the micro-control method of coating properties is mastered. It is committed to the engineering application of advanced materials and coating technology, and realizes the batch preparation of multi-functional coating products, which provides strong support for the research and development of multiple weapon models.
He has taught three undergraduate courses, namely "Material Surface Technology", "Fundamentals of Microelectronics Manufacturing Technology" and "CAD/CAM Principle and Practice". Supervise more than 3 master's students per year and assist in supervising 1 PhD student per year. Guided multiple undergraduate teams to participate in undergraduate competitions, including Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, Century Cup and Internet +. Awarded the title of excellent class teacher for three consecutive years.

More than 20 SCI papers have been published in Ceramics International, Journal of Alloys and Compounds and other journals. He has applied for more than 30 national invention patents as the first inventor.
