Rui Wen Shao received his bachelor degree from the School of Mechanical Engineering, Tianjin University in 2010 and his doctorate degree from the Center for Ultramicrography, Beijing University of Technology in 2016. He studied under Professor Han Xiaodong, an expert in electron microscopy, and was selected as a "Liberal Arts Post-doctoral Program" in the School of Physics, Peking University from 2016 to 2018. His co-supervisor is Academician Dapeng Yu. In 2018, he worked as an assistant researcher at the Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has long been engaged in the research of robot system design and nanoscale high-precision operation, micro-vision, micro-nano processing and other fields, and is committed to the prototyping and operation mechanism research of micro-nano devices combined with micro-nano robot system and transmission/scanning electron microscope. A scanning and transmission electron microscope (SEM) joint operation measuring instrument was independently developed for the study of physical properties of low-dimensional nanoscale materials. The complex structure of micro-nano devices was constructed by micro-nano robot system, and the operation and failure mechanism of micro-nano devices such as brain chips, sensors, memory devices and energy devices were studied on the atomic scale. In Nature Communications, Nano Letters, More than 50 papers have been published in internationally renowned journals such as ACS Nano, Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, Nano Energy, and Energy Storage Materials. He has been invited to give presentations at international and domestic conferences for many times. Responsible for the construction and operation of electron microscope platform of Medical Technology Institute.
