CAI Ran, female, is currently a special associate researcher and pre-appointed assistant professor at the School of Medical Technology, Beijing Institute of Technology. He graduated from Southeast University in December 2019, and later joined Beijing Institute of Technology as a postdoctoral researcher. His co-supervisor is Academician Toshio Fukuda/Professor Dong Lixin (City University of Hong Kong). He is mainly engaged in the research of wearable sensor design, flexible electrode development, electron microscopy and so on. The main research areas include: (1) development and design of wearable sensors for monitoring human health; (2) Based on the micro-nano operating robot system, explore the relationship between the structural characteristics and performance of micro-nano devices; (3) Construct complex micro and nano device structures, and study the operation mechanism of brain-like chips and memristors on the atomic scale. He has undertaken projects such as National Key Research and Development Project, National Nature Youth Fund, Post-doctoral Fund, etc. He is currently working in Infomat, Energy Storage Materials, Nano-Micro Letters, Chemical Engineering Journal, He has published more than 20 papers in international well-known SCI journals such as Nano Energy, Small Methods, Materials and Design, and has won many awards such as National Scholarship for doctoral students and outstanding postdoctoral Fellow of Beijing Institute of Technology.

Research Interests


He is mainly engaged in the interdisciplinary research of electronics, physics, chemistry, materials and medicine. Current research interests:
(1) Develop and design wearable sensors for monitoring human health;
(2) Based on the micro-nano operating robot system, explore the relationship between the structural characteristics and performance of micro-nano devices;
(3) Construct complex micro and nano device structures, and study the operation mechanism of brain-like chips and memristors on the atomic scale.
