Qian Kun, professor and doctoral supervisor of Beijing Institute of Technology, will be selected into the "National High-level Talent Program (Youth Project)" and the "Special Young Scholars" support Program of Beijing Institute of Technology in 2021. He received his Ph.D. from the Technical University of Munich, Germany, where he studied with Professor Bjorn W. Schuller, a leading expert in the field of emotional computing and computer hearing. From 2018 to 2021, he engaged in research in the field of artificial intelligence medicine in the University of Tokyo, Japan, and was selected as a global Famous Young Scientist Foundation - "Special Researcher for Foreigners of the Japan Academic Promotion Association" project (success rate: 10.6%), has published more than 120 papers (80 first author/corresponding author), and 41 journal papers indexed by SCI. Including IEEE Signal Processing Magazine, IEEE IoTJ, IEEE T-ITS, IEEE J-BHI, IEEE T-ASE, IEEE T-BME, ABME, JASA and other international top journals in the field, cumulative IF-2022: 258.0, maximum single paper IF-202:14.9 (sole first author), more than 2,100 Google Academic citations, and Google Academic H-Index of 27. Dr. Qian is currently an IEEE Senior Member, IEEE Transactions on Affective Computing (JCR Q1, IF-2022: 11.2), Editorial Board member of journals such as Frontiers in Digital Health and BIO Integration, Visiting Professor of Silk Road Business School in Paris, France, Expert Member of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Expert Committee of Computer Society of Chinese Scholars in Germany, He has been a reviewer for dozens of top/authoritative journals and international conferences in the field. Dr. Qian maintains deep and good cooperative relations with the world's top universities such as Imperial College London, Technical University of Munich, Germany, and University of Tokyo, Japan. He can recommend outstanding scholars/students of the team to conduct academic visits and joint training. We welcome undergraduate, master and doctoral students who are ambitious, love to explore and willing to study.
