In May 2008, he graduated from the University of North Carolina with a doctor's degree in engineering. In January 2004, he graduated from the University of Delaware with a master's degree. He graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology with a bachelor's degree in 1998.
He has been engaged in teaching and research work in the field of computer network and mobile computing for a long time, and his main research directions include intelligent perception, wireless network, mobile computing, Internet of Things, edge computing, wireless sensor network, and Internet of vehicles. As the person in charge, he undertook more than 10 national and provincial scientific research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation and the Beijing Natural Science Foundation. In IEEE TMC, IEEE TPDS, IEEE TC, IEEE TVT, IEEE INFOCOM, ACM UBICOMP, ACM More than 130 SCI/EI retrieval academic papers have been published in famous international journals and conferences such as MOBIHOC, ICDCS, ICPP and IWQoS. He received the Best Paper Award of the IEEE International Conference on Mobile AD Hoc and Sensor Systems (IEEE MASS 2013), the Best Paper Award of the 2013 IEEE International Conference on Performance Computing and Communications (IEEE IPCCC 2013), and the 2014 ACM International Conference on Mobile AD Hoc Networks and Computing (ACM) The Best Paper Award of MOBIHOC 2014, and the Best Paper Award of 2015 Tsinghua Science and Technology.
