His research interests mainly include electrode materials and technology of high energy density lithium-ion batteries, solid electrolyte and battery solid-state, battery thermal safety, theoretical calculation and simulation, etc. The teaching courses include Materials Physics and Chemistry for undergraduates, Comprehensive Experiments of Energy Materials and Devices, Principles and Technologies of Materials Electrochemistry for master students, and Advances in Energy and Environmental Materials Technology for doctoral students. He has presided over the National Natural Science Foundation Project, NSAF Project, Beijing Natural Science Foundation Project, National Key Research and Development Program, Sino-US intergovernmental International Science and Technology Innovation cooperation key project, "973" program, "13th Five-Year" equipment pre-research project and many other topics. He has published more than 80 SCI indexed papers and authorized more than 20 invention patents.
