He was a postdoctoral researcher at Deutsche Telekom Laboratories, Berlin, and a research director at IBM TJ Watson Research Center and IBM China Research Institute in the United States. His main research interests are: Intelligent Internet of Things technology. He presided over a total of 2 key projects of the national key research and development Program "Industrial Software", 2 key projects of the National key research and Development Program "Strategic Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation", 2 joint key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation and 3 projects of youth/face/excellent youth, 4 high-end foreign experts introduction programs of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and 2 projects of national key research and development programs. And the Science and Technology Committee X73, XX6 and so on. He has published 72 CCF-A papers, 8 ESI highly cited papers, 43 authorized domestic and foreign invention patents, and participated in the compilation of 16 Chinese and English books/sections, with more than 9600 Google citations and an H index of 46.
He won the first Prize of Natural Science of the Chinese Society of Electronics in 2023 (ranked first), the runner-up of ACM SigKDD 2021 Best Paper Runner up Award, and the runner-up of ACM MobiCom 2021 Best Community Paper Paper Runner up Award, Excellent Paper Award of China University Computer Education Conference, and 1 first prize and 2 second prize of provincial and ministerial level. The textbooks of Internet of Things and reinforcement learning were selected as the "14th Five-Year Plan" textbooks of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the "14th Five-Year Plan" textbooks of Beijing Institute of Technology, and the fine textbooks of Beijing Institute of Technology; Many students have won the Beijing Excellent Undergraduate graduation design thesis, the Chinese Institute of Electronics excellent master's thesis, the highest scholarship of Beijing Institute of Technology Xu Teli Scholarship, etc. As the instructor, he led the students to win the Grand prize of the National Finals of the 2022 China University Computer Competition - Artificial Intelligence Creativity Competition.
