The team of Professor Wu Biao of Beijing Institute of Technology has been committed to the study of anionic coordination based on polyurea ligands, and found that the rigid phtharbiurea unit has a unique anionic coordination: high strength, high selectivity, and predictable structure; It is successfully applied to the construction of high order assembly structure. A series of supramolecular assemblies, helical structures, tetrahedrons, prisms, truncated tetrahedrons and double tetrahedrons have been constructed based on the coordination between phtharicarbazone and trivalent phosphate ions. It has potential applications in the fields of object recognition, chiral induction and reaction catalysis. Recently, an invited review paper entitled "Anion Coordination-Driven supramolecular Assembly (ACDA)" was published in the journal Accounts of Chemical Research to systematically summarize the relevant research progress.
Wu Biao's team has long made some pioneering achievements in the direction of anion chemistry in supramolecular chemistry, mainly focusing on: 1, anion recognition, 2, anion coordination oriented supramolecular assembly, 3, supramolecular smart materials, 3, biorelated anion binding and transport.
