摘要
Based on the rate equations and propagation equations of ytterbium-doped fiber amplifiers, the distributing of signal amplification and pump attenuation and the change of signal under different pump power was investigated by means of numerical analysis. The ASE effect and noise characteristics of fiber amplifiers were approximately numerical solved. Using the simulation result, a design of Yb3+ fiber amplifier is proposed.
