title = "The quantitative risk assessment of domino effect caused by heat radiation",
abstract = "An accident could lead to secondary accidents of onsite or nearby installations; this phenomenon is called domino effect. Many major accidents that took place in chemical and process industries can cause domino effect. Although domino accident makes big contribution to severe consequences, little attention is paid to this subject in the scientific studies. Especially, the research on domino effect of major hazard unit is still on the beginning stage in our country. This paper gives a methodology for the quantitative analysis of domino effect caused by pool fire. Individual and societal risk indices were estimated with and without Domino effects caused by heat radiation. The results have proved the importance of taking domino effect into account in quantitative risk analysis and land-using planning of major hazardous installations.",
