Synthesis of novel SbSI nanorods by a hydrothermal method

摘要

SbSI nanorods have been prepared by a known hydrothermal method at 180-190°C for the first time. X-ray diffraction patterns, transmission electron microscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectra (XPS) are used to characterize the products. The as-synthesized SbSI crystalline displays a rod-like morphology with diameters of 20-50 nm and lengths up to several micrometers. The fundamental absorption edge of the SbSI nanorods is shifted to the shorter wavelength in comparison with that of bulk SbSI crystals. A possible mechanism for the formation of the SbSI nanorods is proposed.
