STUDY ON REAMING EFFECT OF LOW DENSITY LINER ON METAL TARGET

摘要

The radial reaming damage effect of nylon, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), titanium and composite shaped charge liner on metal target were compared using nonlinear dynamic analysis software AUTODYN-2D to research the damage ability of low density shaped charge liner. The influence of the material, curvature radius of liner and the structure of composite liner on the perforation capacity of penetration body were analyzed. The results showed that at the same burst height, the radial perforation ability of PTFE and nylon shaped charge penetrators to aluminum target is stronger than that of titanium penetrator, but the penetration depth is obviously shallower. Compared with PTFE, the nylon penetrator has stronger radial reaming ability, which is about 2 times that of titanium penetrator with the same charge structure, but has the weakest axial penetration ability. In addition, compared with titanium, the penetration depth and crater diameter of nylon and PTFE penetrators were less affected by the curvature radius of the liner. When the inner layer of the composite liner is nylon and the outer layer is PTFE, the penetration diameter of the composite penetrator on aluminum target is larger than that of the single PTFE penetrator, and the penetration depth is deeper than that of the single nylon liner.
