Stability Analysis of DFIG Wind Turbine Connected to Weak Grid based on Impedance Modeling

摘要

Wind farms are normally located in the terminal of power grid with the gradual weakening, where its resonance issues have been frequently reported in northwestern China. The strongness of power grid will influence the stability of grid-connected wind turbine system due to the coupling characteristic between wind turbines and weak grids. The sequence impedance modeling has been proved an effective method of stability analysis on grid-connected renewable generation system. This paper studies the grid-connected doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) system and proposed an analytical impedance model for the stability analysis, which takes the coupling effect between DFIG and grid into consideration and will be verified through the simulation comparison. Based on the represented model, the case studies under various conditions will be investigated to verify its effectiveness of the stability analysis for grid-connected DFIG system.
