N2 - A new mixed-valence open-framework iron aluminumphosphate [FeII(H2O)2Fe0.8 IIIAl1.2(PO4)3]· H3O (I) has been synthesized under solvothermal conditions and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, compositional analyses, TG-TDA and 57Fe powder absorption M̈ssbauer spectroscopy. Compound I crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c (No. 15) with a = 13.3200(14) Å, b = 10.2104(11) Å, c = 8.8412(9) Å, β = 108.590(2), and Z = 4 with R1 =0.0525 (I > 2 σ(I)). Its open-framework structure is built up from distorted FeIIO4(H2O)2 octahedra, AlO5/FeIIIO5 trigonal dipyramids and PO4 tetrahedra, which possesses 8-memebered ring (MR) channels along [001] direction.
