摘要
With the improvement of steel quality requirements, the control of nonmetallic inclusions in the continuous casting process became an important issue for steel companies. Limited by the actual conditions and the complexity of the continuous casting processes, numerical simulation became one of the important methods to study the behavior of nonmetallic inclusions in the continuous casting process. The positive effects of electromagnetic technology, flow control elements and bottom argon blowing on the floating removal of nonmetallic inclusions in the tundish combined with the current state of numerical simulation research was introduced, it was found that the influence of nonmetallic inclusions properties and non-isothermal conditions on the behavior of nonmetallic inclusions was seldom studied. The important influence of optimization of submerged entry nozzle (SEN) and reasonable application of electromagnetic technology on the removal of nonmetallic inclusions in the mold was discussed, and the simulation research of the nonmetallic inclusions in the mold is transitioning to the microscopic scale. The numerical simulation research of the behavior of nonmetallic inclusions in the continuous casting process is continuously progressing with the development of computer technology and the improvement of mathematical models.
