N2 - To regenerate the brake energy of electric vehicles, a regenerative and hydraulic brake force distribution strategy is proposed. Firstly building simple mathematical models: vehicle model, battery model, motor model etc. Secondly calculating available regenerative brake force under several limiting factors such as motor power, battery charging power, ECE brake regulations etc. Thirdly putting forward the brake force distribution strategy: comparing the demanding brake force, the front wheel lock-up force with available regenerative brake force, getting the actual regenerative brake force and hydraulic brake force. Finally proving the above strategy through the simulation of different brake intensity and NEDC (New European Drive Cycle) driving cycle. The simulation results confirm that the strategy in this study can not only assuring safety brake and good brake pedal feel, also make maximum use of the brake energy.
