摘要
In this paper, subarray technique is employed to synthesize the radiation pattern (RP) of planar/conformal sparse phased array. Each subarray has 8× 8 Vivaldi elements, and the overall optimization objective is to minimize the sidelobe level (SLL) of the entire array while ensuring the maximum gain. A modified simulate annealing (MSA) algorithm is used to optimize the position of subarrays first and then the amplitude and phase of excitation for each subarray. Typical examples are provided to show the advantage of using conformal structure to enhance the gain of the array when the scanning angle approaches to 60°.
