abstract = "In this paper, we introduce a new method to sort Radar signals based on the empirical mode decomposition (EMD). EMD algorithm can decompose random mixed pulse train which contains multiple signals from different emitters into several Intrinsic Mode Functions (IMFs) completely. Considering that EMD may cause mode mixing in some circumstances, we propose a method based on the combination of frequency shifting and high frequency harmonics to prevent this phenomenon. Using the improved EMD algorithm,we can get the single pulse signal of every one emitter from the mixed-pulse-signal of multiple emitters and the sorting result can serve for the identification of signal better. The simulation result of separating signals shown in this paper denotes that EMD algorithm can apply to radar signal sorting and the accuracy of decomposition is very well.",
