Preparation of β-TCP/HAP biphasic porous bioceramic

摘要

β-TCP/HAP biphasic bioceramic with good bioactivity and natural porous bone structure was fabricated by heating calcined bovine cancellouse bone with different quantities of NH4H2PO4 and sintered temperature. The crystalline phases and microstructure of specimens were determined by the XRD scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results revealed that the obtained β-TCP/HAP biphasic porous bioceramic with dimensions of 200~800μm macropores and 1~5μm micropores exhibited good biological activity and biodegradability. With NH4H2PO4 increasing in the calcined bovine bone, HAP would gradually convert into different crystalline phase compositions of TCP/HAP, TCP/HAP/Ca2P2O7 at high temperature. Similarly, raising the heating temperature, TCP would also gradually convert into Ca2P2O7. These results suggest that use different quantities of NH4H2PO4 as addition could improve the repeatability, precision and creditability of the study.
