摘要
Droplets impacting on superhydrophobic surfaces can easily rebound from the surface, such a unique characteristic has a promising application in engineering fields such as self-cleaning and anti-icing. In the present work, we fabricate a superhydrophobic surface with a single ridge and experimentally investigate the morphologic evolution and contact time of the off-centered droplet impact at different Weber numbers (We). The morphologic evolution of different off-centered distance can be divided into six types with their own characteristics. The results of contact time show that when We is small, the impact of small off-centered distance increases the contact time; when We is large, different types of impact can effectively reduce the contact time.
