摘要

The perforation behaviors of AISI 4340 alloy steel impacted by hemispherical-tipped tungsten sinter alloys projectile are studied and simulated with LS-DYNA. The projectile impacts AISI 4340 thin plate in oblique conditions with the angles of incidence changing from 30°, 45° to 60°. In each incident angle, the impact velocity varies from 0.5 km/s, 1.0 km/s to 2.0 km/s. The results show that both the velocity and angle take obvious effects on plate deformation and perforation behavior. At the impact velocity of 0.5 km/s, the projectile embeds and ricochets according to the obliquity.
