Model reference control strategy for the mode transition of electro-mechanical transmission

摘要

The control of mode transition plays a very important role in electro-mechanical transmission control, whose performance affects the vehicle drivability greatly. Most of the electro-mechanical transmission vehicles use clutch and planetary gear as power coupling mechanism, and the mode transition is realized by switching clutch. Due to the impact of clutch engagement, seamless transition cannot be achieved during mode switching process. For solving this problem, a solution based on model reference control (MRC) has been proposed. Firstly the transition process is simplified using the switching system approach, which can separate the whole complex problem of mode transition process into several simple problems. Then, in order to meet the requirement of state following characteristics, the MRC method obtaining the feedback error between actual system and reference model has been proposed, which can improve the transition performance. The whole system is divided into several subsystem and the controllers are designed for each subsystem according to their own characteristics. The primary control method is used before the mode transition, and the MRC method is used in the process of mode transition. The simulation results indicate that the performance of mode transition has been significantly improved, the power output is maintained without interrupted, and the effectiveness of the method is confirmed.
