Mechanical property of hybrid lattice-to-steel joint with pyramidal carbon fiber truss

摘要

In order to study the mechanical property of hybrid joint to solve the problem of engineering design, two kinds of specimens of hybrid joint were designed and their compressive and flexural properties were investigated through experiment. The experimental results show that in compressive test, lattice structure is the weakest part of the joint structure and debonding induced by core macro-shear and face-sheet wrinkling can result in buckling. Face-sheet delamination is the main damage mode of joint structure in three-point bending test and it occurs where stiffness mutation of the structure appears, but bearing reaction can bring about fracture of resin base of lattice core, leading to debonding further.
