摘要
By adopting the momentum conservation theorem, perforation of truncated oval-nosed projectile into stiffened plates was investigated. A mechanical model of rigid projectile penetrating stiffened plates was presented to predict residual velocity of projectile. Based on the model, the effects of the stiffener width, stiffener height and impact velocity of the projectile on the residual velocity were analyzed. The predicted results by the model are consistent with experimental results and the numerical values, which demonstrates the rationality and reliability of the model.
