N2 - In this paper, the low information-exchange and robust precoding design for distributed antenna systems is investigated, which is of great importance for the new mobile network architecture namely cloud radio access networks (C-RAN). Relying on an interesting low complexity decomposition algorithm, a distributed robust linear minimum mean-square-error (LMMSE) precoding algorithm is proposed. Exploiting the elegant properties of the decomposition algorithm, the precoder design problem can be decomposed into several subproblems. In addition, all the subproblems can be performed in parallel term. Moreover for the proposed algorithm there is no need of an extra step to calculate the Lagrange multipliers at each iteration. Thus the exchanging information of the algorithm can be significantly reduced. Finally, it is demonstrated by the simulation that the proposed algorithm enjoys both satisfying convergence properties and better performance.
