摘要

For some Functionally Graded Materials (FGM) with complex material composition changing, there was no mapping function from the geometry space to the material space, and thus it was necessary for each part of geometry information to be stored with their corresponding material information in group, which caused problems such as data redundancy, increased memory and data operation time. For this problem, the modeling thought based on mapping from material space to geometrical space was put forward. The material space that indicated the material composition was defined, and the corresponding geometric space could be determined from the mapping function of space. By using the interpolation algorithm, the material information of other parts could be calculated. The overall expression of model geometry information and material information could be finally realized, which could improve the clarity of data representation. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method was proved by the case of FGM gear modeling.
