摘要
The performance of the three-dimensional orthogonal woven composites (3DOWC) under high-velocity impact is studied in a combined experimental and numerical way. The experimental impact velocity ranges from 155 to 1499 m/s. The impact processes are also simulated with mesoscopic point model and the material point method (MPM). The experimental and numerical results agree well in both the residual velocity and the configuration. Four failure patterns are observed for the perforated specimens. An empirical formula is constructed based on the experimental and numerical results.
