摘要

The improved effects of Haitangping (HTP) extracted from steams and leaves of blackberry lily on the high-fat diet-induced disorder of lipid metabolism were studied. Disorder of lipid metabolism was induced in ICR mouse by feeding them a high-fat diet for 12 weeks. After oral administration of HTP (50, 100, 200 mg/kg BW) and the positive control drug gemfibrozil capsules (100 mg/kg BW) for 4 weeks, the triglycerides and total cholesterol in liver and blood serum were examined. Meanwhile, the weight of adipose tissue in epididymis and did pathological examination of liver tissue was examined. The results show that HTP lowered triglyceride and total cholesterol levels in liver, decrease the level of triglyceride in blood serum, reduce the weight of adipose tissue in epididymis, and cut down the accumulation of the lipid droplet in hepatic cell. Those results demonstrate that the oral administration of HTP prevents the progress of lipid metabolism disorders in liver and blood serum while feeding the mouse with high-fat diet.
