N2 - In this study, a monopulse slot array antenna based on gap waveguide in E-band is designed. The designed monopulse array comprises 32×32-slot with a double-layered full corporate- feed distribution network. To obtain the properties of low sidelobes, a 30-dB Taylor synthesis is applied on the monopulse array antenna on both the E- and H-planes. For this target, a number of novel unequal power dividers are devised on the basis of the groove and ridge gap waveguide. The proposed unequal power dividers can achieve large power ratios with a small phase difference of output ports. Moreover, a comparator network with a planar Magic-Tee is used for realizing monopulse radiation patterns on both E- and H-plane. Finally, a 32×32 monopulse slot array antenna is fabricated and the measured results validate our design concept.
