Design of 24 GHz Microstrip Array Antenna for Automotive Radar

摘要

In this study, a microstrip planar array antenna operating at 24GHz is designed. The combination of series and parallel feed structure is adopted to reduce the loss of the feed line. In addition, Chebyshev distribution is used to make the width of each patch change proportionally and achieve the effect of reducing the si delobe level of the antenna. Simulation results show that the gain of the antenna reaches 23.31 dBi. The sidelobe level in E-plane is -18.04 dB, and the half-power beamwidth is 10.1°. The sidelobe level in H-plane is -21.4dB and the half-power beamwidth is 10.37°. Measurement results verify the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.
