摘要
A model of the friction coefficient in the high-speed penetration is established, in which the micro-asperities of the projectile surface, the adiabatic shearing in the process of motion and the heat conduction in the projectile are considered. The work done by the friction force in the process of penetration is calculated based on friction coefficient, the revised dynamic spherical cavity expansion theory of concrete and the analysis of high-speed penetration process.The mass loss of projectile can also be evaluated by the transformation of frictional work into heat which can melt the projectile material. Finally, the comparative analysis of the computed data and the experimental data of mass loss is done. The analytical result shows that the calculated data are in good coincidence with the experimental data.
