N2 - This work presents systematic device design and performance prediction of a 340-GHz antenna-coupled high-Tc superconducting (HTS) balanced downconverter. The downconverter integrates the lens antenna fed by two independent ports, which generates two directional beams for radio-frequency (RF) and local-oscillator (LO) coupling. Its balanced design features the coplanar waveguide (CPW) structured quadrature hybrid, matching and isolation circuits. Detailed mixing performance simulation is conducted, and the results have validated the device designs.
