2-bit Dual-polarized Huygens Metasurface for High-order Bessel Beam Generation

摘要

This paper reports a novel approach for the efficient generation of high-order Bessel beams at 28 GHz utilizing 2-bit dual-polarized Huygens metasurface. To verify the feasibility of the scheme, we designed generators for both first-order and second-order Bessel beams using the Huygens metasurface. The full-wave simulations verify that they achieve the mode purity exceeding 80% and 77%, respectively, and non-diffraction spiral phase propagation in a distance of 150mm (about 14 λ at 28 GHz). Our work has the advantages of low fabrication cost and high transmission efficiency, which provides a new avenue for the effective generation of high-order Bessel beams.
